Central Missouri Genealogical Society

The aims of the Society are to promote and encourage the study of genealogy and family history, to collect and preserve genealogical materials and to make these archives more accessible to the public.

They have a Library which is located in the Walters-Boone County Historical Society Museum and is staffed by volunteers.

Missouri State Genealogical Association

The society was established in 1979.  Many resources are housed at the Midwest Genealogy Centre in Mid Continent Public Library, Independence.
