Cumberland Family History Society

Cumberland Family History Society was founded in 1976 and aims to help people who have an interest in researching their genealogy. They cover the current county of Cumbria, which is all of the pre-1974 counties of Cumberland and Westmorland.

The association also covers parts of Lancashire that are north of Morecambe Bay (North Lonsdale) and the West Riding parish of Sedbergh.

A map of parishes covered by the Society is accessible.
