Orkney Family History Society

Orkney Family History Society was established in 1997 and is situated in Orkney Library and Archive, which is next to the Archives.

Their aims are to provide a forum whereby people can study, collect, analyse and share information about Orkney families, maintain links with other Family History Societies, maintain a Library where members can research their family histories, and to promote and encourage the study of family history and genealogy.

Main resources are accessible in their Library, with the majority of the items having been donated by members of the Society.
