This section lists associations from Bainbridge Island to Clallam giving details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

County and Other Societies

Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society

The association was established in 2005 and is based on Bainbridge Island.  Members study their ancestry across the US and the entire world.  

Members have roots in New England, Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and the West Indies.  Anyone is welcome to visit or to join the association.

Many archives can be accessed in their Library, which include:

Belfair Genealogical Society

The society is a chapter of Puget Sound Genealogical Society.  Many databases are accessible, which incorporate Marriage Applications 1891-1909, Obituaries and Cemetery Transcripts.

Chelan Valley Genealogical Society

Many archives can be accessed in Chelan Public Library, which incorporate:

Clallam County Genealogical Society

Their aims are to collect and preserve genealogical resources, and to offer assistance to people conducting genealogical research.

Many books are available in their Lending Library, which include information regarding:

An index of Obituaries from 1888 to 1970 is accessible and this index was compiled from Notices found in the Port Angles Evening News, The Daily News, The Sequim Press and various other Publications. 

They also have Photographs of Obituaries appearing in Newspapers and other Publications from 1971 and, for a fee, are prepared to send a copy of the appropriate Obituary.
