County and other Societies

Tacoma-Pierce County Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1961 and had 6 members, but by the end of the first year they had 54.  

They currently have approximately 150 members.

The aims of the Society are to promote and encourage family history research, to preserve historical materials, to collect and publish resource material, especially that relating to Pierce County and the Puget Sound region.

Walla Walla Valley Genealogical Society

Many publications are available for sale, which comprise:

Many databases are accessible, which incorporate a Cemetery Index.  For a fee, they are willing to send a photograph of the Gravestone.
