Orkney Family History Society

There is a page relating to Passenger Lists on the site, and there are links to other sites which you may find of use.

Numerous publications are available for sale, including Census Returns and Indexes, Memorial Inscriptions and Margaret Traill's Cookery Book.


Renfrewshire Family History Society

The aim of the association is to promote and encourage the study of Genealogy, especially in Renfrewshire.

Publications sold by the society include Renfrewshire Burial and Death Index Pre 1855 and Memorial Inscriptions.


Scotland Heraldry Society

Established in 1977, the association promotes the study of heraldry.  Anyone with an interest in the study and practice of heraldry is welcome to join the society.

Some articles are available on the site, which include An Heraldic Hierarchy, Flying Heraldry, Scottish Heraldic Bibliography, Ancient Scottish Patents and Matriculations, West Highland Heraldry, Some Distinctive Characteristics of Scots Arms, Royal Arms, Scottish Civic Heraldry and Monumental Heraldry

Scottish Genealogy Society

Some Databases and Indexes are accessible on the site, which include 18th Century Taxation Records, Genealogist Indexes and Pedigree Charts. 

A Genealogical Index, which is an Index of over 2500 files that have been donated to the association over 50 years, is also accessible.  For a fee, they are prepared to send you a copy of a genealogy.
