County and Other Societies

Darke County Genealogical Society

Many volumes are available for sale, which include Darke Co. 1820, 1830 and 1850 Censuses, Darke Co. Families and Marriages 1851-1898.


Defiance County Genealogical Society

The Society is a chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society.  Their aim is to promote and encourage interest in genealogy and family history.

Information regarding churches is available, along with details of Cemeteries and Excerpts from the Defiance Democrat Newspaper from 1860-1862, 1863, 1865, 1870s, 1880 and 1886.

In addition, lists of Military Items of Interest, which includes War of 1812, Mexican War 1845-1848, Civil War and information regarding the Defiance Co. Veterans Historical Project, are available.

Delaware County Genealogical Society

The association has a Research Library which is located in The Delaware Co. District Library located at 84 East Winter Street, Delaware, Ohio 43015. 

Cemetery Information can be accessed on the site, which includes a details of Burials. 

In addition, there are Alphabetical Lists of Delaware Co. Pioneers pre 1850 and the Descendants of the Pioneers.

Many publications are available for sale, which include:

Erie County Genealogical Society

Fairfield County Genealogical Society

The association was organised in 1978.  Many resources are available in their Library, which incorporate:
