County Societies

Jefferson County Genealogical Society

The association has a comprehensive collection of resources, which incorporate:

Labette County Genealogical Society

Many resources are accessible at Parsons Public Library, Parsons. 

They also have on-line indexes to Marriages, Anniversaries and Obituaries mentioned in Newspapers from 1990-2005 and 1990-2008 respectively. 

For a fee, members are willing to conduct genealogical research on your behalf.


Montgomery County Genealogical Society

The association was established in 1967 to help people interested in Montgomery County genealogy.  Many publications are sold by the society, which include:

  • Chautauqua Co. Cemeteries
  • Cherry, Drum Creek, Liberty and West Cherry Township Books
  • Cherryvale City Book
  • History and Families of Montgomery Co. 1869-1994


Norton County Genealogical Society

Many on-line indexes are available on the site, which incorporate:
