Founded in 1976, Oxfordshire Family History Society encourages and promotes the study of genealogy, specifically in the counties of Oxfordshire and North Berkshire. 

If you live locally, but have ancestors from elsewhere, you can also obtain help from the Society.

Their aims are to promote interest in family history and genealogy, to provide a forum for those wishing to exchange news and information, to teach people about the variety of genealogical records, to preserve and publish records, and to transcribe memorial inscriptions.

For payment of a fee, the Society is prepared to conduct searches in the following databases:

Powys Family History Society was formed in 1980, and encourages the preservation and publication of indexes that relate to Powys.  This includes the former counties of Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire.

The Society is currently transcribing burials from Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire 1813-1851, and is also compiling a Strays Index, which is an index of people found away from their birthplace.

Founded in 1979, Shropshire Family History Society aims to provide a meeting place for all those interested in genealogy, specifically in the county of Shropshire.  The group currently has approximately 1600 members worldwide.
