This section lists the county associations from Carroll to Little River giving details about each one and what resources and publications they offer.

County Societies

Carroll County Historical Society

Their site contains indexes to:

  • Carroll Co. Marriage Records Eastern District 1869-1930 and Western District 1869-1910
  • Carroll Co. Tax Lists
  • Cemetery Transcripts
  • Census Transcripts
  • Divorce Records Chancery Court Book A 1870-1897

They are also involved in indexing School Census Records from Green Forest and Berryville Schools, dates ranging from 1930-1948.  Information included in the record includes the child's name, birth date, age, sex, parents and the Post Office.  CChs staff are willing to conduct research in these records on payment of a small fee and will send you the details.

The society is also prepared to search their index of obituaries in return for payment of a small fee.

Conway County Genealogical Society

The society has a library where some resources are accessible, including:

Their site contains a list of surnames currently being researched by members of the association.  They have information regarding ongoing projects which includes the Conway Co. Obituary Project and the Conway Co. Family Genealogy Database.

Craighead County Genealogy Society

Their aims are to preserve and publish genealogical and historical data and to assist members with their genealogical research.  They hope to give their members the knowledge they require to research their ancestry in the area and further afield.

The association's site contains an index to Divorce Records Eastern District: Lake City Courthouse 1884 - 1950 and Western District: Jonesobro Chancery Books 1878-1897.  There are also indexes to Cemeteries and a Marriage Index listing residents of the area who married in other counties in the state.


Little River County Genealogy Society

Their site has a page dedicated to Little River Area Courthouse Records, which include:
